Conveyancing Assistant – Selby | Leading Yorkshire Law Firm | Excellent Career Progression

A brilliant opportunity has become available for an experienced Conveyancing Assistant to join a highly respected leading regional firm at its Selby office. This well-established Yorkshire law firm is known for its excellent client service and commitment to staff development.

This position is ideal for candidates with a minimum of 6 months’ experience in residential conveyancing who are looking to take the next step in their legal support career. Working alongside a Senior Fee Earner, you will gain hands-on exposure to a busy and varied caseload with real potential for progression.

Key Requirements:

  • At least 6 months of experience in a Conveyancing Assistant role
  • Previous exposure to residential property transactions including sales and purchases
  • Applications without relevant conveyancing experience will not be considered

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Opening client files and inputting instructions into the case management system
  • Drafting legal documents and generating client correspondence
  • Issuing contracts on sale files and assisting with replies to enquiries
  • Ordering property searches and assisting with exchanges
  • Preparing for completions and issuing mortgage reports to clients
  • Ensuring all file updates and documentation are handled in line with firm procedures
