Jardox are looking for a Chef Technologist who can design powders/pastes/sauces, bring them to life in application, with great culinary presentation skills.

Classic Chef training and active Chef experience would be a major advantage.
You must be:
- Energetic, enthusiastic and passionate about food
- Able to deliver high quality plates of food in application
- Able to create NPD ingredient-based recipes and translate them into tasty food
We are looking for the following:
NPD Technologist capability / experience
- Able to write an ingredient-based recipe on a recipe system
- Experience of writing a basic technical (mini) specification including ingredient declaration, with accuracy, including allergens and other basic information
- Able to record technical information on NPD systems as appropriate (following training) as per Jardox requirements
- Basic understanding of ingredient costings and final recipe build costs from a raw material cost perspective; what is expensive, what needs reflection and rework if too expensive, what guide raw material costs would be suitable
- An understanding of ambient-stable ingredients
- Microsoft Office and (with training) bespoke Jardox systems
Competent Chef skills
- Presentable to clients; top personal standards, including appropriate language/excellent communication and the ability to actively listen, reflect and work with people directly
- Very good hygiene standards
- Can cook professionally in front of clients - demonstrable skills, either through qualifications, experience, or both
- Can clearly present a tidy, tasty plate of food, cooked to perfection, with finesse
- Can hit the brief in terms of application cooking depending on the required genre or brief
- Can clearly demonstrate an active working knowledge of a wide range of culinary genres - both modern and classic
- Happy to clear down satisfactorily after cooking for clients, wherever the location, demonstrating ownership
- Can talk with confidence regarding the food being presented and the background, making other suggestions for the application or genre of food
- Brings own passion and knowledge into focus for Jardox, whilst staying on task
- Introduces new ideas and concepts to Jardox that might provide benefit and excite clients
- Integrates with the existing Jardox Chefs to cross-fertilise and enhance the culinary power of Jardox
- Can spot trends, tap into culinary information, talk the same language as culinary players in the trade
Location flexible
- Clean driving licence required with capability of driving and presenting
- Experience of working in clients kitchens / presentation suites
- Willingness to travel, predominantly in the UK for culinary work
