Are you a qualified Management Accountant who thrives on turning numbers into meaningful business insights? Do you love working closely with stakeholders, spotting trends, and helping a business grow profitably?I’m working with a successful and fast-paced manufacturing business that’s looking for a proactive, commercially minded Management Accountant to join their finance team on a 6-month fixed term contract.  This role is all about leading the budgeting and forecasting process, providing clear, commercially focused analysis, and making sure the leadership team has the information they need to make great decisions.What you’ll be doing:
  • Take the lead on budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning across the group, working alongside the Group Financial Controller.
  • Produce accurate management accounts and reports to agreed deadlines, including key month-end and year-end adjustments (accruals, prepayments, etc.).
  • Keep a close eye on P&L, Balance Sheet reconciliations, and cashflow forecasting, making sure everything’s accurate and robust.
  • Spot trends, highlight risks and opportunities, and provide insightful variance analysis with practical recommendations.
  • Work closely with budget holders, helping them prepare annual budgets and forecasts, and explaining financial information in a way that makes sense to non-finance colleagues.
  • Support the annual budget process, periodic forecasts, and ad-hoc reporting requests.
  • Streamline processes where possible and ensure the integrity of all financial data for internal and external reporting.
What we’re looking for:
  • CIMA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent).
  • Proven management accounting experience within Manufacturing or FMCG.
  • Confident in presenting reports and analysis both in writing and face-to-face.
  • Strong understanding of stock and stock components.
  • Excellent business partnering skills.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs.
  • Proactive, detail-focused, and able to juggle multiple priorities.
  • Flexible, adaptable, and happy to roll your sleeves up when needed.
