Sheffield City Council’s Property Services Team is seeking an experienced and talented Senior Business Support Officer to assist with the administration of Property Services. This role is crucial for delivering dedicated customer support services, performance management, and the provision of performance information to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the Property service.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
  • Log, allocate, and respond to all property enquiries efficiently.
  • Manage the Right to Buy appointment booking system.
  • Collate and provide management information and associated progress monitoring reports.
  • Assist in the delivery of the service’s technical support function to ensure a professional, efficient, and cost-effective service to meet customer needs.
  • Update the service asset management database.
  • Review current working practices to ensure effective use of resources and overall improvement of the customer experience.
  • Provide high-quality support to team members to enable effective service delivery, including general office administration, purchasing goods and services, and diary management.
  • Act as the first point of contact for customers, managing telephone calls, written correspondence, and offering advice.
  • Take responsibility for the collation and presentation of service performance information.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Strong administrative background with the ability to quickly understand property management processes.
  • Effective problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent team player with effective communication skills, capable of interacting with external customers and internal colleagues through written, face-to-face, and telephone methods.
  • Proficient in modern office productivity applications.
  • Demonstrable ability to accurately extract and process information from a range of data sources.
  • Flexible approach to work.
