Field Service Engineer

BASIC SALARY: £40,000 - £45,000

JOB DESCRIPTION: Field Service Engineer - Gluing Systems
 
This role will require you to cover North of England, Scotland and occasionally Ireland and is a classic Field Service Engineer role reporting to the Customer Care Manager, involving repair, refurbishment, install and commissioning of machinery.
 
You will be staying away from home, 2 days per week on average, with very occasional weekend work and overtime paid door to door.
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Field Service Engineer - Gluing Systems
 
As our Service Engineer, you will:
· Carry out field installations, preventative maintenance, equipment health checks and repairs across the broad range of our products.
· Investigate, diagnose, and rectify any customer equipment faults in a timely manner.
· Ensure continual accuracy of data entered into the service management system.
· Identify opportunities for minor repairs and highlight these to the clients as recommendations.
· Provide technical support and operator training.
· Be able to provide feedback so that you can maintain good customer relations and improve product design.
· Raise complaints where necessary and feedback sales opportunities
 
PERSON SPECIFICATION: Field Service Engineer - Gluing Systems
 
We would be delighted to receive applications from individuals who meet the following brief:
· You will be a qualified and experienced Field Service Engineer
· Any knowledge of gluing systems would be of interest
· Ideally, you will have knowledge of the packaging industry, particularly corrugated or folded cartons
· Ideally, time served or qualified to a minimum of ONC level in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
· Calm under pressure
· Excellent planning and organisational skills
· Self-motivated, ambitious, entrepreneurial and excellent team player skills.
