If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you! Randstad Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant for a rewarding role in the Hathersage area. We're looking for someone to support a vibrant primary school's Year 1 class, from September 2025 to October 2025.

As a Year 1 Teaching Assistant, your role is crucial to the success of the classroom. You will be responsible for:

• Providing one-on-one and small-group support to improve phonics, reading fluency, and comprehension.

• Assisting pupils with key academic skills, including handwriting, spelling, and basic mathematical concepts.

• Helping the class teacher deliver structured lessons and preparing resources and materials that align with the Key Stage 1 curriculum.

• Upholding and reinforcing the school's behaviour policies to maintain a positive and productive learning environment.

• Monitoring pupils' progress and providing detailed feedback to the teacher on their academic and personal development.

To be successful in this role, you must have:

• A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is preferred, but not essential.

• An Enhanced Child DBS on the update service (or be willing to apply for a new one).

• The legal right to work in the UK without any restrictions.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• A nurturing and patient approach to working with children.

• A passion for education and a genuine desire to make a difference.

• First Aid training is preferred, but not essential.
