Elevation Recruitment Group are representing a key client in Sheffield who are looking to recruit an NDT Technician with some exciting projects in the pipeline. The business are happy to provide full training and development to PCN Level 2. The business are a leading manufacturing business that supply to a variety of industries including nuclear, defence and oil & gas. This role will be based on site Monday-Thursday with the occasional opportunity to travel as and when the business need. This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a business with training opportunities and overtime. 

Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Undertake manual Ultrasonic inspections 
  • Provide technical advice on matters associated with non-destructive testing.
  • Produce reports for calibration, inspection and testing carried out on the product.
  • Perform physical and visual inspection of products using visual and NDT methods
  • Perform detailed visit reports on completion of site visits, providing customer feedback and future improvements
  • Carry out identification marking of product to ensure product traceability throughout its operational lifespan.
  • To support the service team through deployment to customer site, potentially worldwide when needed
  • To play an active role in the assembly of high-pressure components to customer assets at customer sites around the world.
  • To provide engineering insight to teams where required and convey better ways of working where improvements can be seen.

Qualification requirements

  • Level 2 in ultrasonics (castings/forgings) 
  • Additional NDT qualifications desirable
  • Experience in a similar inspection role
  • Skilled in the use of various measuring tools such as micrometres, callipers, gauges etc.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
