Veterinary Surgeon – Independent Practice

Salary – £40,000–£60,000
The exact salary within this banding will be commensurate with experience.
Location Sheffield, South Yorkshire
- Established: Independent, family-owned practice with a reputation for continuity and high standards of care
- Facilities: Orthopaedic theatre, keyhole surgery, dental suite with X-ray, ultrasound, chemotherapy provision, and full surgical kit
- Culture: Approachable, supportive, and sociable team who value collaboration and development
- Clients: Loyal, mixed client base – from insured high-end to charity-supported patients
- Location: Suburban Sheffield and retail-park Bolsover – easy access, free on-site parking
Your Role:
- Hours: 4 days per week Mondays or Fridays off for a permanent long weekend (Part-time considered)
- Consults: 15 minutes as standard, with flexibility for more complex cases
- Weekends: 1:4 Saturdays (8:30am–3:30pm, sole charge)
- OOH: None – covered by Vets Now
- Caseload: Routine GP work plus varied surgical caseload including orthopaedics, chemotherapy, amputations, and emergency work
- Support: 6 RVNs, 3 student nurses, and a team of experienced vets, including certificate holders in orthopaedics and imaging
