 The purpose of this vacancy is to motivate, engage and manage operations and staff.
You will be the Team Leader of 4 staff in a business that has invested heavily in their facility investing in new machines.
Primary Duties
- Attending production planning meetings
- Scheduling and releasing the workload
- Booking in of production orders
- Achieving on time delivery of production orders
- Regular stock checks with resolution of discrepancies
- Regular 1-2-1‘s with direct reports
- Completing appraisals for direct reports
- Enabling the training and development of direct reports
- Awareness and compliance of audit/company guidelines and H&S rules
- Ensuring the team work to 6S guidelines
- Read basic engineering drawings.
- Assembly of products
- Operating a milling machine
- Deburring / Filing / Applying touch-up paint
- Operation of a stud welder
- Operation of a wall saw
- Proficient in the use of general tooling
- Provide technical support to customers via phone/email
Experience/Special Skills/Abilities:
- Experience leading a production / assembly team is required.
- Experience of operating a milling machine would be preferable.
- Experience of working in an assembly environment would be preferable.
- Previous experience using stock control software would be preferable.
- Comply to product/machining/assembly safety standard/regulations

Hours of work Monday to Thursday 9am-5pm and Friday 8.30am – 4.30pm
