- Providing full secretarial support to include word processing, regular and accurate filing, archiving, faxing, emailing, photocopying.
- Handling telephone enquiries, diary and meeting coordination, travel arrangements, and expense claims.
- Using Microsoft Office, Outlook, Teams, and legal software including Aderant, Big Hand, Liberate, iManage, and Oyez.
- Drafting routine documents and correspondence.
- Maintaining and updating filing systems, both electronic and paper-based and in compliance with Lexcel guidance.
- Maintaining time recording on all client matters and to arrange for the chargeable time recorded to be put into the firm's computerised time recording system daily.
- Acting as a first point of contact for clients and third parties with professionalism and discretion.
- Supporting colleagues through holiday/sickness cover and contributing to a collaborative team environment.
- Previous secretarial experience within professional services.
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications such as Teams, Word and Excel.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail
- Competent numeric skills including a basic understanding of accounts and billing.
- Able to use own initiative and take responsibility for a task to ensure that work is completed to a high standard (to include developing and introducing efficiencies and more effective ways of working).
