Reed Business Support currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established, multi-accredited law firm based in Sheffield. Renowned for its exceptional client care and strong professional relationships, this firm is seeking a dedicated Legal Assistant on a part time basis to join its Clinical Negligence department.

The Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Legal Assistant to provide vital administrative and secretarial support to the Head of Department and fee earners within a busy Clinical Negligence team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drafting high-quality correspondence and legal documentation
  • Handling telephone and email enquiries professionally
  • Preparing Court documents and electronic bundles
  • Audio and copy typing of letters and legal documents
  • Diary management and coordination of appointments
  • Managing file opening procedures, invoicing, and billing
  • Preparing files for audits and coordinating Legal Aid applications and tenders
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within Clinical Negligence or Personal Injury
  • Strong understanding of Legal Aid procedures and funding in Clinical Negligence (highly advantageous)
  • Proficiency in using electronic Case Management Systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • High attention to detail and a proactive, confident approach
