Chief Mechanical Design Engineer - Sheffield - £80,000 + Car AllowanceÂ
A Chief Mechanical Design Engineer is required to take lead on the team & design processes on a range of groundbreaking projects in heavy engineering industries. You will be joining a well established consultancy.
You will provide expertise on the design of mechanical processes & products for various high profile projects. You will need to be able to work closely with other engineering departments and showcase a good understanding of these areas, such as: EC&I, Electrical Engineering, PLC understanding etc.Â
You will also be leading a team of engineers, providing project leadership and have a core focus on continuous improvement. You will be key in ensuring projects are complaint with industry standards & regulations, and be responsible for signing off the projects.

Salary & Package
- Up to £80,000 p/annum

What makes you a good fit?
- Strong background in Mechanical Engineering, with multidisciplinary experience/knowledge (PLC, EC&I, Electrical etc)
- To have strong exposure to the full engineering project lifecycle.
- Exposure and understanding of structural engineering.
- Hold overall responsibility for project documentation and project milestone, considering safety, risk and compliance.
- Euro codes knowledge– 13001, 15011
