Are you passionate about supporting young learners and helping them thrive in a primary school environment? GSL Education is currently seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Primary Teaching Assistants to work in schools across Sheffield. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in the development and progress of pupils in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.

Key Responsibilities of a Primary Teaching Assistant:

Provide one-to-one and small group support to ensure pupils remain focused and make progress.
Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and differentiated lessons.
Support pupils with special educational needs (SEN), behavioural challenges, or additional learning needs.
Help create a positive, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment.
Encourage pupil participation, confidence, and independence.
Supervise children during breaks, lunchtimes, and school-based activities.

Requirements for a Primary Teaching Assistant:

Experience working with primary-aged children (in schools, tutoring, or childcare settings).
A good understanding of SEN, Autism, ADHD, and behaviour management strategies is desirable.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A patient, adaptable, and proactive attitude towards supporting learning.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team or independently when needed.
An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
