Principal EC&I Engineer (Engineering Lead) – Sheffield – Hybrid – up to £70,000 + Car Allowance

The Role

A Principal EC&I Engineer / Engineering Lead is required to take lead on the team & design processes on a range of groundbreaking projects in a range of heavy engineering industries. You will be joining a well-established engineering consultancy.

You will be providing expertise on design & electrical control processes, provide leadership & mentorship to junior team members, continuous improvement & ensure that all projects and processes are fully compliant with industry regulations.

What makes you a good fit?

  • Extensive experience in designing electrical control systems for heavy industry or any large moving structures.
  • Experience with associated field equipment, Motors, Sensors, Limit Switches, Lasers etc. 
  • Hold overall responsibility for project documentation and project milestones. 
  • Experience with leadership and mentoring junior team members
  • Desirable – knowledge of EN6024 and UL5088
