Our client, DENSO Marston Ltd., are looking for a Financial Controller to join the dynamic team and drive financial performance at one of the most respected names in the automotive technology and engineering world. DENSO Marston Ltd., specialises in the design and manufacture of high-performance heat exchange units and cooling modules for off-highway, construction, and agricultural markets. With state-of-the-art R&D and manufacturing capabilities, we lead through innovation and quality.Reporting to the Head of Finance, the Financial Controller will oversee a team, including Management Accountants, Finance Assistant, AP/AR professionals, and a Stock Controller.     • Monday to Thursday: 08:30 – 17:00
    • Friday: 08:30 – 13:30

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and deliver monthly/quarterly financial reports and KPIs for group finance, with insightful commentary.
  • Perform detailed variance and trend analysis to support business decisions.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reconciliations of the balance sheet.
  • Manage working capital, optimise liquidity, and ensure robust cash flow planning.
  • Oversee statutory accounts, audits, and tax submissions (GAAP, IFRS, IAS compliance).
  • Drive the annual budgeting process in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
  • Enhance internal controls and financial governance (including J-SOX compliance).
  • Champion digital finance transformation and automation initiatives.
  • Mentor and manage the finance team, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Liaise effectively with colleagues across the UK, Europe, and Japan.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Fully qualified CIMA, ACCA, or ACA.
  • Strong grasp of financial systems; Oracle Cloud experience is a bonus.
  • Analytical thinker with a commercial mindset.
  • Experience in manufacturing or engineering environments (highly desirable).
  • Proven leadership and people management skills.
  • Background in audit is a plus.
  • Committed to continuous improvement and delivering business value beyond the numbers.
