We are working with a leading Fire and Security Contractor to find an experienced Stores person to join the team based in Shipley.

Main Duties

  • Receive and inspect incoming goods for accuracy and damage

  • Unload, unpack, book in and store stock in designated locations
  • Pick, pack, and dispatch orders according to company procedures
  • Maintain accurate records of stock movement and inventory levels
  • Maintain a database of stock codes updating for price increases from our chosen supplier
  • Purchasing of regular moving stock items to maintain appropriate stock levels to improve operational delivery speeds.
  • Perform regular stocktakes and cycle counts.
  • Produce monthly stock reports to aid in monthly financial reporting.
  • Keep storage areas clean, organised, and safe, inline with health and safety standards set in the business
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, and other key teams within the business

Experience / skills required

  • Previous experience in a storeroom, logistics, or storeperson role (preferred)
  • Physically fit and able to lift heavy items
  • Good computer skills and familiarity with inventory systems
  • Good attention to detail and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Strong work ethic and reliability
  • Self drive to improve performances and procedures
