Council Tax/Benefits Team Manager

Shropshire Hybrid 2/3 days in the office Salary:£38,500-£41,000We're looking for an experienced and motivated Council Tax/Benefits Team Manager to lead the delivery of vital local services. If you have a strong background in Revenues or Benefits, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for service improvement-this is your opportunity to make a real difference. You'll be responsible for managing and developing a high-performing team, ensuring legislative compliance and excellent customer service. You'll analyse performance data to drive improvements, build effective internal and external relationships, and anticipate future changes in legislation to keep the service ahead. We're looking for someone with:

  • At least five years' experience in a Revenues or Benefits environment
  • Minimum of six GCSEs including Maths and English
  • A degree or equivalent experience (IRRV Level 3 desirable)
  • Strong ICT and communication skills
  • A proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a diverse team
  • An open, approachable leadership style and a collaborative mindset
