A Day in the Life of a CPN:

Join our team as a Band 5 Community Psychiatric Nurse and support older adults living with dementia within a dedicated and compassionate team. This is a fantastic developmental opportunity for a nurse seeking to expand their skills in a specialist mental health setting. Your core responsibilities include:

  • Conducting home visits and community-based assessments for older adults

  • Supporting dementia care planning and risk assessments

  • Liaising closely with carers, families, and MDT professionals

  • Delivering compassionate care that enhances quality of life and promotes dignity

  • Accurately maintaining records in line with clinical standards

  • Supporting wider team duties and caseload management under supervision

Requirements & Qualifications:
  • Current and valid NMC registration and PIN

  • Essential: Experience working with older adults with dementia

  • Strong communication, empathy, and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in the community

  • Full UK driver's licence required

Working Hours & Contract Duration:

This role offers full-time or part-time flexibility, with hours Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM. The initial contract is for 3 months ongoing, with strong potential for extension depending on performance and service needs.
