We are currently working to support a well-established specialist school to recruit a dedicated and passionate Teaching AssistantS. This is an exciting opportunity to join an experienced and supportive team, working across one of their specialist sites catering to students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
Whether you're a qualified Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant or someone with relevant experience in specialist settings, this role offers a chance to develop professionally in a rewarding and dynamic environment.
The Role:
- Provide classroom-based and one-to-one support for pupils with SEMH and/or ASD
- Support teaching staff in delivering engaging, accessible lessons tailored to individual learning needs
- Foster positive relationships and promote social and emotional development
- Assist with behaviour support strategies under the guidance of specialist staff
- Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and structured learning environment
What We're Looking For:
- A committed, energetic, and proactive individual
- Experience or understanding of working with students with SEMH and/or ASD
- A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent experience)
- Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team to support individual pupil progress
- Strong communication skills and a caring, patient attitude
