My client, a market leading multidisciplinary Civil and Environmental Consultancy, is searching for an Assistant Hydrologist to join their innovative Team. This role offer hybrid working from Shrewsbury.

It is essential that applicants have a strong academic background in Hydrology, Civil or Water Engineering and experience working for a UK based Consultancy or Water Company completing flood risk assessments or hydrological assessments.

It is beneficial for applicants to live locally to attend site visits in local flood risk areas.

This exciting opportunity will offer candidates the opportunity to join the experienced team to complete flood risk assessments, catchment management, surface water, nutrient neutrality, re-wilding and natural flood management projects in the local area for Local Authorities, Water Companies and Government Bodies.

Candidates will be required to complete;

Flood Risk Assessments

Natural flood management

Re-wilding and habitat management.

Re-wetting farmland and wetland creation.

Surface water management plans.

large scale catchment management plans.

Nutrient neutrality assessments.

Water quality sampling and assessments for local rivers.

Pollution Incidents.

Flow calculations.

Flood Estimation
