Mech Tech is currently recruiting a Quantity Surveyor for a permanent position based in Somerset. This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, competitive salary, and long-term career development within the industrial services sector.
You’ll be supporting a major infrastructure project in Somerset, contributing to the delivery of large-scale industrial works involving mechanical, electrical, and civil engineering packages. The project is part of a multi-billion-pound investment in the region, with a focus on energy, manufacturing, and sustainable technologies.
Role Details
- Working Pattern: Hybrid (2 days home / 3 days site)
- Hours: 38 per week | Monday–Friday
- Salary: Up to £80,000 per annum
- Contract Type: Staff salaried
Key Responsibilities
- Manage commercial activities on site
- Prepare and submit EWNs, CEs, and applications for payment
- Draft, negotiate, and administer subcontracts
- Support project forecasting, CVRs, and reporting
- Drive profitability while managing risk
Candidate Requirements
- Post-graduate Quantity Surveying experience (essential)
- NEC3/NEC4 contract knowledge (desirable)
- Industrial services or engineering background
- Degree/HNC in Quantity Surveying or equivalent
- Valid CCNSG or CSCS MAPS/Operatives card
