A well-established and highly regarded accountancy practice in Sidcup, Greater London, is seeking an articulate and ambitious Assistant Tax Manager to join its growing Private Client Tax team. Role Responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of private clients, including HNWIs, sole traders, partnerships, trusts, and estates
  • Oversee all aspects of personal tax compliance, including Self Assessment tax returns, CGT on UK property, P11D submissions, ATED, and Employment Related Securities filings
  • Liaise with clients and HMRC on a range of tax issues, ensuring excellent service and timely resolution
  • Support the Tax Partner and Manager on ad hoc tax advisory work, including capital gains tax, inheritance tax, and trust planning
  • Supervise junior team members, reviewing their work and assisting in their development
  • Work as part of a cohesive team to ensure tax returns are completed and filed ahead of statutory deadlines
  • Contribute to team development and take part in continuous technical learning and professional development

Candidate Requirements
  • At least 5 years’ experience in a UK accountancy practice with a focus on personal tax
  • CTA qualified or part-qualified (or equivalent experience)

  • Experience managing a portfolio of clients
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills
