Service Charge AdvisorLocation: Sittingbourne (Hybrid Working Available)Rate: £17.86 PAYE - £21.32 per hour (LTD)We are working with a reputable housing provider to recruit a Service Charge Advisor to join their service charge team based in Sittingbourne. Reporting to the Service Charge Manager, this is a key supporting role where you'll contribute to the delivery of a high-quality service for residents, while helping to drive forward improvements in service charge processes.The Role:You’ll be assisting the Service Charge Analysts with the preparation and issuing of estimated and actual service charges, ensuring these are compliant and fully recoverable. This is a hands-on support role where you’ll also communicate directly with residents, provide financial and administrative support, and play a part in the ongoing development of improved systems and processes.Key Responsibilities:
  • Support Service Charge Analysts in calculating and issuing charges, including preparing simpler schemes independently.
  • Respond to customer queries in a timely, professional, and informative manner.
  • Extract expenditure data from internal systems and support budget monitoring.
  • Help prepare invoices and documentation for audit purposes.
  • Assist with the production and quality control of service charge statements.
  • Contribute to systems testing and improvements as part of wider service transformation.
  • Maintain accurate data across internal systems and support procedural documentation.
  • Prepare documentation for meetings with residents and managing agents.
