We are working with an established manufacturing company in the Sittingbourne area who are looking to resource for an Accounts Assistant on a part-time basis for maternity cover, up to February 2026. Working 15 hours per week, ideally over 2-3 days, but there is flexibility for the successful candidates. The hourly rate is 12.50.
The role:
- Manage the Purchase Ledger and prepare supplier payments
- Post bank transactions
- Ensure all remittance advices are emailed to suppliers
- Reconciliation of supplier statements
- Liaise with other departments and suppliers to resolve queries
About you:
- Experience of working in a Finance department
- Ability to complete purchase ledger functions including posting invoices/bank recs
- IT literate including MS Office, ideally Sage (not essential)
- Proven ability to thrive and excel in a fast-paced dynamic environment with high performance expectations
- Ability to learn quickly and be willing to take instruction whilst acting autonomously
- Integrity to handle sensitive and confidential data
- Numeracy and accuracy, with excellent attention to detail
- Maintain excellent professional relationships with clients and suppliers
