Cash-rich and debt-free, the company has achieved sustained organic growth over recent years and is now entering an exciting new phase, with strategic plans that include continued expansion and future M&A activity. With a strong reputation in their sector, they pride themselves on operational excellence, a collaborative culture, and a clear vision for the future.RoleReporting directly to the Group Finance Director, this is a pivotal, hands on Finance Director role with full responsibility for managing the finance function of the £20m division. You will lead and develop a small team, oversee day-to-day financial operations, and play a key role in driving improvements in financial controls, processes, and reporting.Key responsibilities include:
  • Full ownership of the monthly and annual reporting cycle
  • Improving internal controls and financial reporting systems
  • Business partnering with operational and commercial teams to support decision making
  • Preparing and presenting insightful board reports and financial analysis
  • Supporting the Group FD with strategic projects including M&A due diligence and integration
  • Developing forecasting, budgeting, and cashflow modelling tools
  • Driving process improvements and system enhancements (SAP environment)
Once the initial transformation and improvement work is complete, the role will evolve to focus more on commercial strategy, growth planning, and supporting senior leadership with high-quality financial insight.PersonWe're looking for a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with a background in manufacturing and a proven ability to lead and develop a finance function. You will be hands on, detail-oriented, and thrive in a fastpaced SME environment where you can make a real impact. Experience with SAP and involvement in process improvement or finance transformation projects will be highly advantageous.You will bring:
  • Proven experience as a Finance Director or a senior financial leader ready to step up
  • Strong manufacturing sector background
