Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Location: Skelmersdale

Hours: Monday-Friday, 08:00-16:00

Salary: Up to 45,000 per annum dependant on experience

Our client, a leading supplier of garden products, is seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a forward-thinking business that invests in its people, equipment, and long-term growth.

The Role:

You'll be responsible for maintaining and improving mechanical, electrical, and pump systems across the site. This is a hands-on role, requiring both technical expertise and the ability to support production teams with fault-finding and continuous improvement.

Key Duties:

  • Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM).
  • Respond to equipment breakdowns and production issues.
  • Minimise downtime through effective fault-finding and improvements.
  • Manage spare parts stock and procurement.
  • Support installation and commissioning of new equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO, health & safety, and quality standards.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Multi-skilled in mechanical and electrical engineering.
  • Strong problem-solving and diagnostic ability.
  • Proactive, detail-focused, and adaptable.
  • Keen to support continuous improvement and share knowledge with colleagues.
