Panel Wirer / Wirer 

We are currently recruiting for multiple Panel Wirers and Wirer roles at our manufacturing facility in Colnbrook. This is a hands-on position within a busy wiring workshop, assembling and wiring bespoke power distribution units used across the entertainment and events industry. The Wirer will work from instructions provided by senior operatives and the Workshop Manager, following established wiring techniques and safety protocols.

The Panel Wirer will be responsible for tasks including cable preparation, crimping, socket assembly, and use of power tools. Accuracy and attention to detail are essential. The workshop operates at pace, and successful candidates must be able to keep up with production targets once trained.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Wiring of custom-built power distribution boards

  • Cutting, stripping, and crimping cables

  • Preparing sockets and components for assembly

  • Operating power tools safely and consistently

  • Following health and safety procedures

  • Maintaining quality standards throughout production

Essential Skills:

  • Basic understanding of electrical principles

  • Ability to read and follow written instructions

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

  • Good communication and timekeeping

  • Experience working in a team and busy environment

  • Ability to work independently once trained

Desirable:

  • GCSEs (A–C), including English

  • Familiarity with AutoCAD drawings

  • Previous experience as a Wirer, Panel Wirer, fitter, or electrician’s mate

  • Willingness to work overtime when available

Hours & Pay:

  • Monday–Thursday: 08:30–17:00

  • Friday: 07:45–16:00

  • Hourly rate negotiable based on experience

  • Overtime regularly available
