Fire Pump Service Engineer
Salary/Package - 45,000 Basic + Vehicle + Benefits ( OTE 60,000 per annum )

The Role
The company are looking for a Fire Pump Service Engineer to join their growing field service team. In this role, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing fire pump systems at commercial, industrial, and institutional sites across the UK. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with both diesel and electric fire pump systems, a sound understanding of relevant British Standards (e.g., BS 9251, BS EN 12845), and a commitment to safety and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct planned maintenance, fault-finding, and repairs on diesel and electric fire pumps, jockey pumps, controllers, and associated pipework
Perform commissioning and testing of new fire pump installations
Complete service reports, test certificates, and provide feedback to clients and internal teams
Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, recommending remedial action where necessary
Ensure all works comply with relevant standards (BS EN 12845, BS 9251, LPCB, etc.) and health & safety regulations
Liaise with customers onsite, providing a professional and informative service
Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle in good working order
Participate in emergency call-out rotation and after-hours support (as required)
Requirements
Proven experience in servicing and maintaining fire pump systems
Mechanical or electrical engineering background (NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent)
Full UK driving licence (essential)
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Flexibility to travel and work away from home as required
Desirable Qualifications
FIA Fire Pump Training Certification
CSCS or ECS Card
Experience with BMS integration or pump automation systems
First Aid and/or Health & Safety training
