School Cover Manager
Salary: £28,000 – £32,000
Start Date: As soon as possible
Location: Slough
GSL Education is currently recruiting a number of Cover Managers for our client schools in Slough. This is an exciting opportunity to join a thriving school community and play a key role in maintaining the smooth operation of teaching and learning across the school.
Key Responsibilities:
- Organising daily staff cover for planned and unplanned absences
- Coordinating with internal staff and external supply agencies
- Managing cover supervision timetables and maintaining up-to-date absence records
- Liaising with senior leadership and department heads to ensure continuity of teaching
- Supporting administrative tasks as required by the school office
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Previous experience in a cover management or school administrative role
- Strong working knowledge of SIMS or equivalent MIS
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- Ability to work under pressure and respond to last-minute changes effectively
- Clear and confident communication skills, both written and verbal
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply through GSL Education)
