Forever Education is working with a Secondary school in Slough, Berkshire .Our client is seeking a Senco to join them from January 2026 on a permanent basis (Employed directly by the school)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and regularly update the school’s SEND policy in line with statutory requirements.
  • Lead the strategic direction and development of SEND provision across the school.
  • Advise senior leaders on resource allocation for SEND and contribute to whole-school improvement planning.
  • Promote a culture of inclusion, high expectations, and equal opportunities for all learners.
  • Coordinate the identification and assessment of pupils with SEND.
  • Oversee screening, diagnostic assessments, and referrals to external specialists.
  • Maintain an accurate and up-to-date SEND register.


Key Experience & Knowledge:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • National Award for SEN Coordination (or willingness to complete it within required timeframe).
  • In-depth knowledge of SEND Code of Practice and inclusive teaching strategies.
  • Ability to lead, inspire, and collaborate effectively with colleagues.

Salary:

  • Leadership Fringe Pay Scale - £53,460 + (depending on experience + SEN Allowance)
