Description

  • Manage financial aspects related to purchase transactions, including invoice processing, payment authorisation, and record keeping.
  • Monitor and resolve all purchase ledger queries in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Prepare and execute payment runs, ensuring supplier accounts are reconciled.
  • Support month-end processes such as accruals and prepayments.
  • Work closely with the wider accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Perform credit checks on potential suppliers and maintain existing supplier relationships.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant legislation.
  • Participate in regular team meetings to share best practices and discuss improvements.

Profile

A successful Purchase Ledger should have:

  • A strong educational background in Accounting & Finance or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.
  • A high level of proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • The ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
