Freight Forwarder - Automotive

We are now looking for an Freight Forwarding Automotive Shipping Clerk based in the Birmingham Business Park

Using internal systems to create documentation that will enable freight to be moved to customer specifications, on time with all the necessary customs and legal documentation, including:

Creating and updating freight bookings.
Raise customs documentation to ensure the freight can move from country to country.
Collate all documents and distribute them to customers and carriers, as required.
Preparing, processing and checking of invoices.
Arrange haulage with shipping lines/hauliers.
Negotiate and agree charges for all types of shipments, which may include containers (FCL/LCL & out of gauge), refrigerated units, ISO tanks and hazardous cargo.
Communicate with overseas agents and clients clearly, precisely and accurately.

In order to apply you will have an exports background and ideally have handled automotive exports. You will have handled FCL/LCL shipments and have completed all documentation. You will have the ability to liaise with a global network of agents, suppliers, shipping lines, hauliers.
