Day-to-day of the role:
- Plan, develop, and execute lessons that cater specifically to the needs of students with various learning disabilities and challenges.
- Create an engaging and inclusive classroom environment that encourages students to achieve their personal best.
- Utilise innovative teaching methods and resources to stimulate learning and participation.
- Assess and record students' progress, adapting teaching methods to meet individual student needs.
- Collaborate with other teachers, parents, and specialists to maximise student learning and well-being.
- Participate in school events and activities, bringing energy and enthusiasm to your role.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS) certification.
- Experience in special educational needs (SEN) settings is highly advantageous.
- Strong understanding of the strategies needed to manage and support SEN students effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Creative thinking and flexibility in teaching methods.
- Passion for teaching and commitment to developing the potential of all students.
