CMA is currently working with an exciting company who operate within a highly sought after industry sector.  Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an additional team member into finance.  As an Accounts Assistant you will support the Accounts Manager with all aspects of the day to day transactional finance with a particular emphasis on the purchase ledger.  This is a fantastic entry level role for someone who is either looking for their next role in finance or an experienced candidate who is looking to engage their payables experience within a dynamic and fast paced industry sector.  What will the Accounts Assistant role involve?

  • Main point of contact for all payables queries & communications, managing our centralised AP inbox - responding to queries and redirecting where needed.
  • Log  and post all invoices, seeking approval/coding where missing.
  • Manage floats tracker, liaising with colleagues on o/s balances, chasing up missing claims etc.
  • Manage expenses – check & approve, upload on system.
  • Manage credit cards – send statements each month, upload onto Xero, chase up any missing receipts etc.

Suitable Candidate for the Accounts Assistant vacancy:

  • Ideally the candidate will have some experience in an accounts payable role demonstrating a strong understanding of the key elements of the role.
  • Experience on Xero & a confident user of Excel would be an advantage.
  • The candidate will be proactive, a positive team player and detail orientated.
  • They must be comfortable working in a fast-paced creative atmosphere and be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills.
  • The candidate must be committed to delivering to agreed timescales with a high degree of accuracy.
