An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Office Assistant/Administrator to join our client, a well-established manufacturing company based in Southampton.
This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organised and proactive individual to support a busy office environment and contribute to the smooth running of operations.
About this Admin position:
- Permanent position
- Monday to Friday
- Working hours are Monday to Thursday (8am- 5pm) Friday (8am-3pm)
- Handle general office tasks, such as answering phone calls, filing, data entry, and managing documents efficiently.
- Oversee inventory management and office supplies, placing orders as necessary to ensure smooth operations.
- Assist with scheduling and organising meetings, training sessions, and appointments to keep everything running on time.
- Prepare and maintain key documents including production reports, purchase orders, and shipping/receiving paperwork.
- Act as a liaison between the administrative office and the production floor, supporting effective communication and logistics.
- Provide assistance with production tasks when required, such as packing spares.
- Ensure accurate record-keeping for quality control, safety logs, and compliance documentation.
- Support the outside sales team with quote requests and other administrative tasks.
What we require from you:
- Own transport to commute to and from work is essential
- Previous experience in administrative position
- Great customer service skills
- Great time keeping and communication skills
- Computer literate
