Our client, a market-leading manufacturer, is seeking a Research Support Analyst to join their established team at their R&D facility near Southampton.

The role will involve the following responsibilities:
Research Support:

  • Assist the Research Specialist with various tasks, including:
    • Authenticating research samples.
    • Sorting research samples into appropriate categories.
    • Scanning and inputting results into both internal and external systems.
    • Identifying and correcting discrepancies in work.
    • Managing and prioritizing tasks based on origin, deadlines, and other factors.
    • Communicating with the team about the receipt of research samples to ensure workload and deadline planning.
    • Offering support to team members with pending tasks.

General Administration Support:

  • Handle administrative duties such as:
    • Receiving and processing samples.
    • Entering data into the internal database.
    • Managing the destruction of samples according to internal policies.
    • Ordering office supplies.
    • Filing paperwork and samples.
    • Assisting with internal archiving processes.
    • Supporting stock audits.

Requirements:

  • Comfortable handling tobacco and non-tobacco products, including vapes.
  • Proven ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in computing, particularly with in-house databases, and skilled in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and planning skills with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented with a flexible approach.
  • A positive, can-do attitude and an inquisitive mindset.
  • Able to perform tasks according to established plans and quality standards.
  • Reliability and attention to detail are essential, as the role requires adherence to legislative and border regulations for completing paperwork and logging activities.
This is a contract position initially until the end of the calendar year but with a strong likelihood of extension

Hours:
35 hours per week (Monday to Friday)

Pay:
