Regional Manager / Branch Manager | Southampton

Competitive base salary of 40k + Car Allowance + Uncapped Commission | 60k OTE

This is an exciting opportunity to join a thriving branch that's already ahead of budget and forecast, with impressive growth achieved in just a short time. Right now, the team is small but mighty, with two brilliant consultants, David and Carmen, covering a huge geography across Dorset, Hampshire and Berkshire. We're looking for someone with the experience and drive to step in, build on that trajectory, and help us take the branch to the next level.

This role isn't just about maintaining success - it's about fuelling further growth. You'll be selling, developing existing business, winning new accounts and then handing that down to the consultants as we expand. With the support of a dedicated sales manager and a hands-on Head of Region, Mat, who has been with the business since 2003 and knows the client base inside out, you'll be set up for success from day one.

The potential here is huge. The branch historically had a team of eight, and we're now looking to grow steadily to 3-5 consultants, with scope to develop both temp and perm markets across driving, logistics, manufacturing and ancillary sectors. Key Responsibilities

The Regional Manager / Branch Manager is responsible for Manpower's UK brand delivery within a designated region of the UK for Convenience temporary and permanent business across all verticals within the Manpower specialisms - driving, logistics, manufacturing and ancillary, you will be expected to maximise GP opportunity throughout your client base in each of these core areas.

You will lead a dedicated team of consultants focused on delivering temporary workforce solutions to both national accounts and retail business. Your dedicated team may be made of pure 360 retail consultants along with pure delivery consultants that have separate focus driving a high ROI. The region will be managed from one central office with your consultant team being based within this with the wider geography of regional responsibility.

Sales:

  • Ensures strong business mix of Manpower Specialisms
  • Actively leads business development through the team
  • Meets clients and drives new business opportunity across all verticals

Strategy:

  • Translates, implements and drives strategy as set by the Head of Staffing
  • Influences strategy through active feedback
  • Delivers regional goals as set by the Head of staffing in line with wider strategy

Collaboration:

  • Performance accountability
  • Works with the Operational excellence team to drive efficient business
  • Works with the head of driving to maintain logistics footprint and ensure legal compliance

People

  • Builds a diverse talent pipeline
  • Coach direct reports to build capability
  • Creates time for wider team that enables a coaching environment to focus and achieve performance expectations
  • A "One Manpower" mind-set is critical - you will be collaborating with peers across the brands and support functions to drive successful outcomes across the wider business. You will also be directly responsible for implementing the Manpower brand strategy and ensuring alignment across your peer group developing your area of responsibility with a corporate mindset. You will demonstrate flexibility and agility, embrace corporate initiatives and gain support and followership from your teams, and will adopt digital recruitment strategies, ensuring your teams are using up to date and relevant channels to recruit for our clients.
