Job Title: HGV 2 Driver – Parcel Transfer

Location: Southampton

Contract Type: Temporary 6+ Months

We are now looking for a dedicated HGV 2 Driver to join our team and help us maintain the high standards that our customers rely on.

The Role:

As an HGV 2 Driver, you will be responsible for transferring parcels between various depots within our network. You will be ensuring that all deliveries are completed on time, with a focus on safety and customer satisfaction. Your primary duties will include:

• Operating an HGV 2 vehicle to transport parcels between depots
• Ensuring accurate delivery and collection of parcels, adhering to specified schedules
• Carrying out vehicle checks and ensuring the vehicle is in good working condition
• Complying with all road safety regulations and company policies
• Completing relevant paperwork, including delivery logs and inspection reports
• Providing excellent customer service where necessary during drop-offs

Requirements:

• Valid HGV Class 2 (C) license
• CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) qualification
• Digital Tachograph card
• Previous experience in driving HGV vehicles, ideally within the logistics sector
• Good understanding of road safety and compliance
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and manage your time effectively
• A flexible approach to working hours, including potential weekend work
