Noise Engineer - Aviation

The Role

As a Noise Engineer - Aviation, you will:

  • Deliver noise modelling and acoustic assessments for aviation operations using advanced simulation tools.

  • Ensure regulatory compliance with UK and international standards.

  • Support technical design by integrating noise control solutions into planning, construction, and infrastructure projects.

  • Communicate complex data clearly to clients, regulators, and community stakeholders.

  • Produce detailed reports, assessments, and recommendations.

  • Manage projects from concept through delivery, balancing time, cost, and quality.



About You

We are seeking candidates with:

  • A degree in Acoustics, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Science, or similar.

  • Experience in aviation noise and vibration, ideally in product development

  • Strong skills in noise modelling software and aviation noise impact mechanisms.

  • Excellent analytical, reporting, and stakeholder engagement abilities.

  • Commitment to inclusive, collaborative teamwork.

Desirable: Membership/Chartership (IOA, IMechE), experience with sound insulation schemes, or public consultation experience.

Experience in Aircraft Engine noise & vibration
