Hours: 08:30 – 15:30, Monday to Friday

We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join the supportive Learning Support Department of a well-regarded secondary school in the New Forest. This Ofsted-rated Good school has an excellent reputation for both staff development and student support, making it a fantastic place to grow your career in education.
In this role, you will work in the Schools learning support department, working with students aged 11–16 who have a range of additional needs, including Autism, ADHD, and moderate learning difficulties. You’ll be working closely with teachers and SEN staff to deliver tailored support, helping students overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential. Patience, empathy, and creativity are key qualities that will help you make a real difference every day.
What You’ll Be Doing- Supporting students in lessons across a variety of subjects, ensuring they can access the curriculum.
- Providing targeted support to individuals or small groups.
- Assisting teachers in adapting lessons and resources to meet students’ needs.
- Encouraging independence, confidence, and positive social development.
- Building strong, supportive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
- Ofsted-rated Good secondary school with a strong reputation in the New Forest community.
