A growing business, known and respected for its polished, professional, and efficient property management style, is looking for a Residential Manager in Hedge End, Southampton. Along with a salary of £24,690 per annum, you will receive rent-free live-in accommodation (a 2-bedroom first-floor flat), plus a range of benefits.

Their residents, aged 55 and over, rely on the business to enjoy their homes with the reassurance that Health, Safety & Safeguarding are taken care of. Caring about people is at the core of the business ethos. In this role, you’ll be delivering the high standard of service expected by the Landlord and Leaseholders.

As Residential Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Creating a welcoming, supportive environment for residents and acting as the first point of contact
  • Carrying out twice-daily routine building safety checks and liaising with contractors for scheduled and emergency building and grounds services
  • Ensuring new residents feel welcomed and assisting them to settle in
  • Maintaining links with next of kin, local authorities, doctors, social workers, health authorities, etc., and building strong working relationships
  • Facilitating social events and helping to build a friendly, inclusive community
  • Ensuring compliance with all site-based Health, Safety & Safeguarding regulations
  • Collecting payments for any development bookings or service charges
  • Acting as an ambassador for the business at all times, delivering an exceptional level of service
  • Being vigilant to identify breaches of rules and regulations as outlined in the lease, as well as any occupancy changes
  • Assisting in the re-sale of flats, including conducting viewings and liaising with estate agents

We’re looking for a Residential Manager with:

  • GCSEs (A–C) or NVQ (Level 2/3) or equivalent, demonstrating numeracy and literacy skills
  • Proven experience in a customer service environment
  • Experience with administration and financial records (both digital and manual systems)
  • Ability to use standard office IT systems and email (Office 365 Outlook)
  • A clean enhanced DBS certificate and proof of eligibility to work in the UK

This is a full-time role, working 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
