Your new role
Based in the Southampton office, you will be the standalone HR Manager for the site, reporting to a supportive, experienced HR Manager for the UK&I in their Head Office.
You will partner with management in Southampton to provide both operational and strategic HR support for the full employee lifecycle, ensuring alignment with organisational priorities. Building strong, influential relationships with key stakeholders to proactively drive people-focussed outcomes. Empower and coach managers to confidently navigate HR challenges, offering guidance and championing HR best practice.
This is a varied, generalist role that will see you work both transactionally and strategically across all areas of HR including: ER case work, recruitment, L&D / training, performance / change management, DE&I and HR operations. This opportunity will suit someone who is happy rolling up their sleeves and being proactive in solving problems and supporting colleagues.
Please note this is a full-time role that is office-based in Southampton, Monday-Friday (37.5 hours / week, typically 8.30am-5pm, but flexible on start / finish times).What you'll need to succeed
You must be a proactive, solutions-orientated person who is CIPD qualified with proven experience as an HR / People Manager, Business Partner or Senior Advisor, preferably having worked in a standalone role. This position requires you to be an excellent communicator who has stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence, challenge constructively and drive decision-making at all levels.
Extensive knowledge of UK employment law and its application, being able to work autonomously / take ownership of tasks whilst effectively managing priorities and deadlines, and experience of leading HR projects to drive positive change are important. You must also be proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint.), with the ability to analyse data, create reports, and present information effectively.What you'll get in return
