An award-winning national law firm is seeking a Real Estate Planning Lawyer (5+ PQE) to join its highly regarded Planning team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on some of the UK's most significant and high-profile development and infrastructure projects within a dynamic and supportive environment.

The OpportunityWorking with a diverse range of clients including developers, local authorities, infrastructure providers and housebuilders, you'll advise on all aspects of planning law, with involvement in major projects across sectors such as energy, regeneration, housing, retail, and transport.

To be successful in this role, you'll need as a minimum:

  • A legal qualification with 5+ years' post-qualification experience within a planning law team
  • In-depth knowledge of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990; familiarity with the Planning Act 2008 is desirable
  • Experience advising on planning agreements (s.106) and highway agreements (s.278/s.38)
  • Proven ability to manage and advise on planning inquiries, examinations, and judicial reviews
  • Exposure to Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) and understanding of their practical implications
  • Experience managing and mentoring junior colleagues, contributing to team development
