Our client, a well-established and values-driven automotive business in Southampton, is looking for a dedicated Vehicle Damage Assessor to join their team. Duties:
- Conduct comprehensive physical inspections and desktop assessments of damaged vehicles
- Produce accurate repair estimates using Audatex or similar software
- Prepare and submit reports to insurance companies
- Carry out audits to ensure safe and compliant repair methodologies
- Create job cards for workshop teams and support the estimating department
- Liaise professionally with insurance adjusters, engineers, and policyholders
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints with care and professionalism
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Vehicle Damage Assessor or Estimator
- Knowledge of accident damage assessment and repair estimating processes
- Proficiency with Audatex or similar estimating software
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and accurately
- Experience working within a bodyshop or collision repair environment is preferred
- Full UK driving licence; HGV licence beneficial but not essential
- Positive team attitude, strong work ethic, and a willingness to work full-time hours Monday to Friday
