Year 4 Class Teacher
Location: Southampton
 Start Date: January 2026
Contract: 5 days per week, 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM- for the right candidate a class share role would be considered
 Pay: Paid to scale (£168 – £233 per day)
About the Role:
An average sized Primary school in Southampton is seeking an experienced Year 4 teacher starting January 2026 ( or February). This is a role with full class teacher responsibilities, initially until the end of the academic year but could be extended.
You will be responsible for planning, teaching, and assessing a Year 4 class, working closely with a year group partner and a full time LSA who is also an HLTA. Â The role includes full teaching responsibilities and offers the opportunity to contribute to wider school life.

What We’re Looking For
- Qualified Primary Teacher
- Confident in managing classroom routines and expectations.
- Able to work effectively as part of a team.
- Skilled in adapting teaching to meet a range of pupil needs, including SEND
- Supportive of daily collective worship
Requirements
- UK-recognised teaching qualification.
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply).
- Compliance with DfE and Safer Recruitment standards.
