Prospero Teaching are supporting a specialist SEND/SEMH residential centre in Southampton in recruiting a caring and dedicated Residential Care Worker to join their team.
This centre provides a structured, nurturing environment for children and young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs and Autism Spectrum Conditions, helping them thrive both academically and personally.
Contract Details:
- Location: Southampton, Hampshire
- Position: Residential Care Worker
- Start Date: ASAP / October 2025
- Contract Type: Permanent / Long-term
- Working Hours: Full-time, shift patterns including evenings, weekends, and some nights
- Salary: 90.73- 95.74 per day
Role Overview:
- Support children and young people in a residential setting
- Promote emotional wellbeing, positive behaviour, and life skills
- Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and support staff
- Provide a safe and structured environment for vulnerable young people
Were looking for someone:
- Experienced in residential care, youth work, or SEND/SEMH support
- Patient, empathetic, and resilient
- Confident in behaviour management and supporting emotional regulation
- A strong team player with excellent communication skills
