Residential Care Worker SEND/SEMH Southampton

Prospero Teaching are supporting a specialist SEND/SEMH residential centre in Southampton in recruiting a caring and dedicated Residential Care Worker to join their team.

This centre provides a structured, nurturing environment for children and young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs and Autism Spectrum Conditions, helping them thrive both academically and personally.

Contract Details:

  • Location: Southampton, Hampshire
  • Position: Residential Care Worker
  • Start Date: ASAP / October 2025
  • Contract Type: Permanent / Long-term
  • Working Hours: Full-time, shift patterns including evenings, weekends, and some nights
  • Salary: 90.73- 95.74 per day


Role Overview:

  • Support children and young people in a residential setting
  • Promote emotional wellbeing, positive behaviour, and life skills
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and support staff
  • Provide a safe and structured environment for vulnerable young people
