Our client is currently looking for an SMT operator to work within their growing electronics business near Southampton.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out all activities within your role to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Support the Surface Mount Technology (SMT) assembly line/equipment, maintenance, equipment/software troubleshooting, and debugging of new and existing production assembly programs. If you can programme or would like to learn, please let me know!
- Perform failure analysis and root cause analysis of defects and field returns.
- Conduct inspections, corrective and preventive actions, and other quality assurance-related tasks to ensure that the SMT line produces high-quality products.
- Ensure all safety procedures are followed.
- Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance your skills and performance.
Experience/Skills Desired:
- Working knowledge of SMT lets talk about your skills.
- Good communication skills.
- Good standard of education.
- Not colour blind.
- PC literate.
Working hours:
- Monday to Wednesday: 06:0016:00
- Thursday: 06:00-15:30
- £13.00-£16.00 p/h - experience dependant
- 37.5 hours per week
- Temp to Perm position
