Job Title: Part-Time School Receptionist
Location: Southampton

We are working with a school in southampton that are seeking a friendly, professional, and organised Receptionist to join their team. This is a front-facing role where you will be the first point of contact for pupils, parents, staff, and visitors, ensuring a warm welcome and excellent support for our school community.

 

The School is a mixed Secondary School for students aged from 11 to 16 years with around 700 students in total. The School is based in Southampton. The school was graded as a Good School in its last Ofsted inspection and continues to perform well. 

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greeting visitors, parents, and students in a polite and professional manner

  • Managing phone calls, emails, and general enquiries

  • Supporting administrative tasks including filing, record keeping, and correspondence

  • Assisting staff with day-to-day office needs

  • Ensuring safeguarding and visitor procedures are always followed

Requirements:
  • Previous experience working within a school environment is essential

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to multitask in a busy reception environment

  • Confident using IT systems and Microsoft Office packages
