We are a family-run business with over 45 years of trading history. Seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant. This role requires proficiency in Sage Line 50 and the ability to work independently with high accuracy. The ideal candidate will be familiar with all aspects of accounting including Sales, Purchase & Nominal Ledger, and Bank reconciliations.
Day-to-day of the role:- Typing and sending invoices to customers daily.
- Using the Publisher programme to print delivery notes after taking incoming orders via telephone.
- Updating and pricing delivery notes using the existing price list for new products.
- Filing documents, both paper format and digital, and updating ledgers.
- Handling incoming calls and email enquiries with a confident and friendly manner.
- Taking accurate telephone orders and liaising with customers and suppliers.
- Processing manual card payments and cheques using a banking app.
- General administrative duties as required.
- Strong experience with Sage Line 50.
- Familiarity with Sales, Purchase & Nominal Ledger, and Bank reconciliations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and with precision.
- Experience in handling administrative responsibilities efficiently.
