Quality InspectorLocation: Near Southend-On-SeaSalary: £30,000 – £37,500 per annum (dependent on experience)Hours: Monday to Thursday, 6:45am – 4:30pm (37 hours per week)Contract: Permanent, Full-TimeWe’re looking for a Quality Inspector with strong aerospace sector experience to join a well-established precision engineering business near Southend-On-Sea. This hands-on role is perfect for someone with a strong understanding of FAIRs, high/low tolerance parts, and modern inspection tools.Why Join?

Quality Inspector Duties

Conduct thorough inspections at all manufacturing stages
Verify parts in line with AS9100 and customer requirements
Generate and complete First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs – AS9102)
Manage and resolve non-conformances (internal and supplier)
Perform root cause analysis and contribute to corrective actions
Compile and review quality management documentation for contracts
Perform light programming and operation of CMM machines and laser measuring tools
Act as an authorised signatory for release of components

Quality Inspector Profile

Strong quality inspection background, ideally in aerospace
Comfortable working to high and low tolerances
Recent experience working with FAIRs (AS9102/C) and Visual FAIR software
Familiarity with AS9100 and auditing processes
Ability to read and interpret technical engineering drawings
Comfortable using CMMs and laser measurement tools
Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to quality
Good communication skills and basic computer literacy (Excel essential)
